USAF C-5A Galaxy touched down in Cairns this afternoon en route from Hicham AB. The C-5 is here to uplift a US Coast Guard Dolphin Helicopter HH-65 6551 which arrived off the USCGC "Waesche" WMSL 751 on Thursday 3 May.

Awesome seen it this afternoon at the airport
ReplyDeleteJust passed the airport and saw it sitting at the international terminal. Anyone have any idea when it is departing? Would love to get a picture of it on climb out.

ReplyDeleteI had the pleasure of witnessing a low thrust pass of the C-5 over our house at Trinity Beach, the screaching of those engines was awesome - A rare sight indeed.
