FNQ Yestayear - January 1995
 |
Three of the four stranded airframes (2 x C402, 1 x BN-2 and 1 x Beech Baron) from the Lakunai airstrip in Rabaul (see Y'year for Sep 94-3rd image down) following the volcanic eruption, were eventually shipped to Madang, where they were photographed in a sad state in Jan 95. It is not known the fate of the other C402 (presumably scrapped on site). |

Mid Jan a rare Ukrainian registered TU-154 of BSL airline was parked on the GA ramp during its stopover. It was transporting a Kyrgystan Arts group. (pic supplied). |
