Air North to add additional flight

Air North announce an additional service between Darwin and Townsville increasing to 3 times a week. The extra service commences Wednesday 7 November building on the current Monday and Friday services.

FNQ Yestayear Images - August 1991

Aug 1, found BN2 P2-TFI receiving m'nance at Cape York A/S at Cairns GA. This Islander became a freq visitor to CNS for m'nance and was operated by a logging company based in PNG's Western Province.

Aug 15 saw Solomons Twin Otter H4-SIB transit arr ex POM en route to Maryborough for m'nance.

former DC-3 Australia VH-PWN featured new titles applied in the form of DC-3 Queensland, shot here from a Bell206 on Aug 18. Note it still retains the dark blue underside from its short stint with TAA/ARAQ.

Former Norfolk Airlines Emb 110 VH-KIQ was bought by Talair PNG and is seen here on the Flight West ramp being prepped for delivery after being registered as P2-RDW. It features basic Talair tail colours and logo with Norfolk trim still retained on fuselage.
