C-5 Galaxy touches down in Cairns

USAF C-5A Galaxy touched down in Cairns this afternoon en route from Hicham AB. The C-5 is here to uplift a US Coast Guard Dolphin Helicopter HH-65 6551 which arrived off the USCGC "Waesche" WMSL 751 on Thursday 3 May.

  2. Just passed the airport and saw it sitting at the international terminal. Anyone have any idea when it is departing? Would love to get a picture of it on climb out.

  4. I had the pleasure of witnessing a low thrust pass of the C-5 over our house at Trinity Beach, the screaching of those engines was awesome - A rare sight indeed.
