| With the closure of Talair in PNG on May 25, the company's fleet of Banderiante's and Twin Otters commenced their ferry down to Cairns for pre-storage maintenance with Flight West, prior to flying to Mareeba for extended storage. Banderiante P2-RDT was the first to arrive on the 10th. Logo and titles have been removed. |

| The first visit of an IL-76 to Cairns on the 4th resulted from a diversion on a flight from Christchurch NZ to Nadzab PNG. CCCP76423 is seen here on finals to RW15 and shortly after stopped on taxiway. The aircraft was carrying livestock and departed for Nadzab later in the evening, in doing so leaving large amounts of rubber on the runway following a tire bust. |
