"A DC3 aircraft VH-CXD departed Archerfield Brisbane at
2039 hours on 4-5-45 enroute to New Guinea.
The aircraft crashed at this site at 0518 hours on 5-5-45.
This memorial was erected in memory of all those
on board who died in the crash"
